The opposite of WIDE

It's called WIDE hotel but not wide at all, especially the bathroom. The sink was poorly designed with faucet extended to the center, so I kept hitting it or the water kept splashing out when I tried to brush my teeth or wash my face. Water not too strong for the shower head, rain shower ok. The only two good things are the front desk are friendly and the hair blow dryer have stronger air flow.

My companion got a big room with a huge bed yet mine was tiny with a small single. Horrible memory foam pad on the bed, not a proper mattress. Terrible pillows too. My expedia rewards weren't honoured, so i wouldn't stay again.

La calefacción no funcionaba. La habitación era como una “nevera”. Pésimo que lo arreglaran y como era fin de semana no tenían mantenimiento. Nos cambiaron de habitación pero a un de inferior nivel. Hubiera sido más fácil poner un calefactor. Cosas que pasan. Para esto la relación calidad precio no es la adecuada. No volvería.

The hotel was good. Nice reception area and good location. I was upgraded to an apartment which was amazing (although I think technically under a different brand). The breakfast didn’t live up to the plush feel of the hotel - quite basic/ limited and the table was a bit like a canteen. And I couldn’t find the toaster! The basement baggage storage was accessible to anyone who had a key so not great for storing valuables (although in theory you could leave these with reception). Allow extra time in the morning if you need to leave the case as the lift was busy. Despite these minor things, I would consider staying again (although I didn’t see what the normal rooms were like!)

Here’s a polished and positive review you can use for WIDE Hotel Copenhagen: ⸻ We absolutely loved our stay at WIDE Hotel Copenhagen! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and professional, making us feel instantly welcome. The room was stylish, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed – Scandinavian minimalism at its best, with just the right touch of luxury. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we slept soundly each night. The location couldn’t be better – walking distance to Tivoli Gardens, great restaurants, and central Copenhagen attractions. Despite being so central, the hotel felt peaceful and relaxing, like a hidden gem in the heart of the city. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Copenhagen.

Positives - the hotel lobby and rooms were nicely decorated. The staff were helpful and friendly. Good central location. Nice shower. Negatives - the room was dusty in places, particularly the bathroom cabinet area and near the tv. The room, and bathroom were smaller than expected. There was building works going on in the street which made it look untidy and generated some noise early each morning. There is also a live outdoor music venue opposite the hotel, which is exceptionally loud and has events on everyday until 9pm.

The property is lovely and well maintained. The location is good for walking to many attractions. It is close to the Hop-on-Hop bus which takes you to most of the top attractions. Our room on the 6th floor was awesome. The free standing tub was an oasis after long days of walking. The bed and bedding was excellent and so comfortable. The suites on the top floor are like vaults and are remarkably quiet. The views from the balcony nice. Breakfast was exceptional. There are so many choices including scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal, cold cereals and yogurt varieties, many choices of fresh baked breads, danish and croissants. There are a variety of cheeses and deli meats, fruit, juices and coffees. And more! The hotel is firm on check-in and checkout times of 3:00 pm and 11:00 am. You can pay a fee for a late checkout. There is no assistance with luggage. You can self store your bags in a locked room until your room is ready to check in or you are ready to depart the hotel. The only imperfect score comes from housekeeping. Rooms are serviced early afternoon. Our attendant missed a few things each day-didn’t leave coffee pods 2 days, didn’t refill the snacks or facial tissue. The wet floor mat for the shower was hung up on top of the drying bath towel. Obviously, these couple things are minor, but shouldn’t have been overlooked a few days in a row. We would definitely stay at Wide again and highly recommend it.

As a solo traveller paying almost £600 for 3 nights this is not value for money. It was like staying in a prison the room was tiny, bed was small. Sun light was coming through the bottom of the curtains as they are so short waking you up every morning- can’t escape this as the bed is pushed next to the window. There is no house keeping unless requested before 9am. It should be a given not a request when paying over the odds. Requested my room to be cleaned at 8:30am on Sunday to my dismay no one had cleaned my room when I returned in the evening. There is only breakfast available at the hotel no other meal options. The only perk as vip member is a free drink no upgrade of room. There is a rock dj blasting music with outdoor drinking every day until late(11pm) right opposite the hotel there is building work all along the street, you will have to walk through scaffolding to get to the hotel. The rooms were freezing! Constant aircon blasting when it’s 10-14 degrees outside. The lobby is almost non existent leading to over crowding and no where to sit, Lift takes ages especially in the mornings you’ll be waiting 5 mins to get into the lift. More like a 3 star hotel not sure why it’s been given 4 stars, it’s dated to say the least. Especially as a solo traveller do not book unless you want to stay in a prison like room.
